Neuroscience and Mental Health: Spotlight on Wales
20th September 2024
External Event - 10th Jul 2022
Political division in Europe is taking a toll on research and freedom of movement. Neuroscience is by its very nature a highly collaborative and interdisciplinary field that demands coherent funding, legislation, data sharing – most importantly – low barriers to exchange of people and ideas across borders.
This session will gather together experiences of researchers affected by recent events, such as Brexit and the suspension of Swiss participation in the ERC, that have made a material impact on research. Senior representatives from research funding agencies, policy experts and funding agencies will advise and discuss approaches to mitigating the effects of political obstacles and seek participant input on how we can protect European research as a community.
