About

This 2 day event with a wide range of speakers will explore and review in depth the current trends and evidence in the field of functional conditions in neurology and psychiatry.

It will provide delegates with a comprehensive insight of the diagnosis and management of these conditions and options for therapy.

Objectives

At the end of this meeting the participants will be able to:

  1. Identify and diagnose the specific features of functional symptomatology
  2. Know the range of therapies and their specific indications
  3. Understand the relative roles of physical and psychological treatments
  4. Understand the ethical issues surrounding placebo therapy for functional symptoms
  5. Understand theories of underlying mechanisms of functional symptoms
