This year, The Royal College of Physicians of Edinburgh are holding a slightly different Neurology Symposium of two halves, including updates on muscle disease, the topical problem of the management of chronic pain and the future of stroke management.

The morning session is designed for neurologists, trainee neurologists and those with a particular interest in Neurology. The afternoon session features broader themes, which will appeal to trainee physicians, acute physicians and GPs.

 

The day promises to be informative and provocative. Attendees should hope to gain:

  • An understanding of the presentation, investigation and management of different muscle conditions
  • An appreciation of the future of translational research and motor neurone disease and the impact this condition has on patients
  • New thoughts on how to manage chronic pain and the problem of opiate usage
  • Understanding of the future of stroke medicine
