Public Lecture: Inflammation as a therapeutic target for depression, Cardiff

External Event - 23rd Nov 2017

Description

All are welcome to attend this free public lecture delivered by Professor Ed Bullmore, head of Cambridge University’s Department of Psychiatry, on the role of inflammation as a therapeutic target for depression.

Hosted by Cardiff University's Neuroscience and Mental Health Research Institute as part of the Hodge Annual Meeting day, registration will take place from 4.30pm with a wine reception, followed by the public lecture from 5.30pm-6.30pm.

The event also brings together key figures from the new Hodge Centre for Neuropsychiatric Immunology, which was launched in 2016 with a £1m investment from the Hodge Foundation. The purpose of the centre is to unite experts in exploring how the brain’s immune system impacts brain conditions such as schizophrenia, epilepsy and Alzheimer’s disease.
