The UK & Ireland Early Career Blood-Brain Barrier Symposium has been running since 2011 and is held on a yearly basis.
The Symposium provides an opportunity for early career researchers to present their research on the barriers of the CNS in the form of a platform talk or poster presentations and to encourage networking between BBB researchers.
The forthcoming BBB Symposium 2017 will be Hosted by Professor Geoff Pilkington, Brain Tumour Research Centre, University of Portsmouth on Friday the 1st of September 2017.
Topics of the Symposium will include
• Structure, characterisation, modelling of the BBB;
• Nanomaterials, delivery across the BBB;
• Drug delivery across the BBB;
• Pathology in brain disease – impact on BBB.
