Research comms 3: OPM-FLUX – an open-source analysis pipeline for OPM-MEG by Arnab Rakshit

12.25pm – 12.50pm BST, 22 April 2026 ‐ 25 mins

Afternoon Session

OPM-FLUX is an open-source tool for the analysis of complex neural data acquired using optically pumped magnetometer-based MEG (OPM-MEG). Built on the MNE-Python toolbox, it provides a standardized, end-to-end workflow including preprocessing, artifact correction, noise reduction, spectral analysis, source localization, and multivariate pattern analysis. Implemented through Jupyter Notebooks, it offers step-by-step examples with detailed explanations, code, and visualizations, with an accompanying dataset provided for hands-on demonstration. OPM-FLUX aims to make advanced OPM-MEG analysis accessible, promote reproducibility, and support both research and educational applications through open-source tools and training resources.
