Both Carole’s parents were diagnosed with late onset Alzheimer’s. Her mother, in particular, lived for over 10 years with this gradually worsening condition, until she passed away in 2024. Carole has been a volunteer for Alzheimer’s Research UK since 2020 and has recently served on their Clinical Committee, helping to question applicants from a Lived Experience point of view, as well as reviewing written applications and ARUK literature.
