BrainBox Initiative Conference 2017 for Non-Invasive, Multimodal, Brain Stimulation and Imaging

This conference has been created specifically to give early career neuroscientists a conference of their own where they have the opportunity to present and be recognised for their research by their peers. It is also valuable opportunity to network, exchange ideas and discover opportunities to collaborate. 

And for those who head up labs and faculties, this is potentially a great place to identify new members and research ideas to the team.

Within the programme are some current rising stars of the community from Imperial College, the University of Tuebingen, Cardiff University and University of Adelaide. 

The Programme:

The programme includes presentations from some current rising stars of neuroscience as well as poster sessions and a session focussed on writing successful grant applications.

You will also be able to hear about how the winners of the 2016 Research Challenge, Helen Nuttall and Siddarth Kohli, got on with their Research Challenge studies, as well as hearing about the work of the 2017 Young Investigator Award.

  • Dr Til Ole Bergmann, University of Tuebingen
  • Dr Mitchell Goldsworthy, University of Adelaide
  • Dr James Kolasinski, Cardiff University

Students and Postdocs are also encouraged to:

  • Submit a poster for the poster session and prize (£250 plus a place on a BrainBox Initiative workshop of their choice)
  • Enter the Research Challenge with a novel multimodal study idea - the winner receives loan of the equipment they need to conduct the study as well as sponsorship to attend a relevant international conference to present their work with a poster
  • Enter the Young Investigator Award which aims identify and recognise rising stars and excellent research. The winner will be asked to present at this years conference and will also receive £500 plus a transferable place on a BrainBox Initiative workshop of their choice. 

Deadline for applications and entries is 30th June 2017.

Standard ticket price is £225 + VAT.
