Join this session to hear Sarah Blackford talk you through what a PhD involves and what a career in academia could offer you, and provide information on some of the key milestones in the application process.  

Blackford is a certified, master’s qualified Higher Education careers adviser specialising in supporting PhD students and postdoctoral researcher in the biosciences. As Senior Fellow of the Higher Education Academy and registered member of the Career Development Institute (CDI), Sarah works to an ethical code of practice.  

At the end of the webinar you will:

  • Be more aware about how to investigate PhD options
  • Be more aware of funding and how to access PhD posts
