BNA council and committee positions: your chance for a national role in neuroscience

Are you a BNA member who wants to get more involved in the neuroscience community, have a role at national level, and help shape the BNA for all its members and beyond? 

Then this is the chance you've been waiting for! 

Take the opportunity to become: 

Association Secretary (Officer, Trustee and Council member) 
A high-ranking, senior position, working closely alongside the President to help lead our national society for neuroscience
Equity, Diversity and Inclusion Representative (Committee member)
An essential role to ensure the BNA continues its path to improve and promote EDI at all levels, within and beyond the association, including the BNA Scholar Programme for under-represented ethnic groups in neuroscience
Education and Outreach Secretary (Committee member)
Take a lead on setting standards for the teaching of neuroscience, career development in the sector, and wider outreach.

Deadline to submit nominations = 23:59 GMT 20th February 2023


Key dates:

  • Call for nominations: 17th January – 20th February
  • If there is more nomination per position, elections will take place 20th March - 27th March 2023
  • Start date for successful candidates will be the 2023 Annual General Meeting, taking place at the International Festival of Neuroscience

Members are reminded of the need to adhere to all the Association’s policies, in particular the Equity, Diversity and Inclusion Policy.
