We have an exciting 4-year funded PhD opportunity in my lab on “An integrated human organ on chip model for the prediction of BBB penetration and CNS exposure”.
The student will use an innovative chip-based human BBB model that will enable improved prediction of CNS drug exposure. This is in collaboration with an industrial partner (UCB Pharma) and the successful student will be based at the University of Liverpool with visits to a UCB Pharma site in Belgium. This will enable an experience of working with an international global biopharma company as well as in academia.
