A thriving young biotech specialising in drug discovery research for critical CNS conditions is seeking a highly skilled Bioinformatician with strong analysis skills to join their select team. Working with novel data, this is a stimulating, fast paced environment that offers significant creativity. The chosen candidate will have the chance to take part in ground-breaking research into debilitating diseases such as Parkinson's and Schizophrenia.

The ideal candidate will have:

-A strong computational biology/bioinformatics background, and extensive experience with R/Bioconductor and ideally Python
-A PhD or MSc in a related discipline
-Robust data analysis skills, with a background in identifying novel drug targets
-Experience with RNA-seq data
-Good quantitative, statistical, mathematical ability
- Previous experience in neuroscience/CNS would be highly desirable
-Biomedical knowledge/understanding and the ability to communicate with biologists and other team members
-Able to work independently and generate fresh ideas and approaches
