£31,614 to £54,741 per annum, depending on skills and experience. Salary progression beyond this scale is subject to performance.

Applications are invited for a Clinical Assistant Professor (Clinical Lecturer) in General Adult Psychiatry.  A Clinical Lectureship in Psychiatry provides advanced integrated academic and clinical training for those pursuing a career in Academic Psychiatry.  The post will have a strong research commitment in mental health/psychiatric research.

The post will be offered on a fixed term contract for a period of up to 4 years, or until award of Certificate of Completion Training (CCT) whichever is shorter.  In the post, the Clinical Lecturerwill split their time between clinical training within a range of placements approved for Specialty Training in preparation for the award of CCT in General Adult Psychiatry and academic work in the Psychiatry & Applied Psychology (teaching and research).  The academic part of the training will be tailored to individual needs of the Lecturer and their research interests.  The Division of Psychiatry & Applied Psychology is based in the Institute of Mental Health on Nottingham’s Jubilee Campus.

Applicants must be medically qualified and have undertaken at least two years of specialist training at CT3/ST3 or above.  This post is offered on either a full-time basis, or part-time at a minimum of 0.6FTE.
