Applications are invited for the above post to provide day to day Divisional management support as well as assisting the Head of School Operations (HoSO) and Deputy HoSO to ensure the smooth running of the administrative support activities across the School of Biological Sciences. Working closely with the Head of Division and divisional administrative teams, the Divisional Operations Manager will provide support to the Division of Neuroscience and Experimental Psychology.

The Divisional Operations Manager will contribute to the School and Faculty’s strategy, policy and procedures as well as advising and guiding on key day-to-day issues and activities within the Division. Responsibilities include managing and developing administrative teams and their support provision, facilitation of the appointment process and HR matters, involvement with the operational management of Division financial matters and transactions, resource and space planning.

You will ideally be educated to first degree level equivalent or have extensive relevant experience. Experience of managing and developing a team of staff as well as working across a number of different sites in an operational management capacity is essential. The post also requires an individual who has excellent communication skills (written and spoken) and can manage their workload effectively to ensure that operational demands and targets are met in a timely manner. Experience of working within an HE environment and with colleagues within the NHS is desirable.
