About the job

Applications are invited for the post of Lecturer in the Department of Psychology, Royal Holloway, University of London, starting in September 2022. The post will contribute to the ongoing development of the department’s social neuroscience research, so applicants should have a background in a relevant area.

Candidates should have a track record of publishing internationally-leading research and should bring new potential for delivering ground-breaking scientific discoveries. They should possess the broad range of skills required to teach effectively at undergraduate and postgraduate levels, and to lead others in teaching delivery and development. They should also demonstrate a strong commitment to delivering an outstanding experience for our students.

We offer a highly competitive rewards and benefits package including generous annual leave and development opportunities, in an internationally recognised department that ranks among the best in the UK for research (6th among UK Psychology departments in REF 2014) and receives very strong ratings from our students for teaching (UK NSS). The Department has excellent facilities, including MRI, EEG, TMS, eye trackers, behavioural testing suites, and social and infant observation labs, as well as strong links with clinical organisations, and government, industrial, and charity affiliations. The Department also holds a prestigious silver Athena SWAN award. The College was ranked in the top 200 in the Times World University Rankings 2018 and is one of the few UK Universities to hold a Race Equality Charter award.

This is a full time, permanent post based in Egham, Surrey where the College is situated in a beautiful, leafy campus near to Windsor Great Park and Heathrow Airport, and within commuting distance from London.
