Two opportunities have arisen at BPP University, School of Health, Department of Psychology. They are for two fixed-term (12 months) part-time (0.5 FTE each) positions as a lecturer/senior lecturer in Psychology. One of the successful candidates will be expected to teach modules related to biological psychology and cognitive neuroscience and the other will be expected to teach modules related to developmental and educational psychology. They may both contribute to modules relating to research or conceptual/historical psychology on the existing undergraduate and postgraduate psychology programme. Duties will include delivery of weekly lectures/seminars, communication with students, setting of coursework/exam topics, marking, and supervision of final year projects.
The School of Health combines the academic excellence of a university with the real-life focus of a professional environment. We offer hands-on, practice-based programmes in a variety of subjects including psychology, chiropractic, health service leadership, health and social care and dentistry. The Psychology Department has been running a BPS accredited BSc (Hons) Psychology programme since 2012 and MSc Psychology Conversion Programmes (class-based and distance learning) since 2016. It has been commended both by BPS and students for the excellence of teaching and this year its undergraduate programme achieved 100% overall satisfaction at the National Student Survey (NSS).

Candidates should have a PhD in psychology (or be close to completion), teaching and research experience. Knowledge of using the virtual learning environment and running webinars to aid module delivery is highly desirable.
