Job Purpose: To make a leading contribution to a project “The roles of functionally defined populations of lamina I projection neurons” working with Dr Junichi Hachisuka, Prof Andrew Todd and Prof John Riddell. The project involves using a variety of techniques based around mouse genetics to define the roles of specific populations of spinal cord lamina I projection neurons in transmitting pain, temperature and itch information. The successful candidate will also be expected to contribute to the formulation and submission of research publications and research proposals as well as help manage and direct this complex and challenging project as opportunities allow.
