The salary will be paid at Grade 6, £37,412 per annum, inclusive of £3,223 per annum London Allowance.
Duties and Responsibilities
This post is funded by a grant from the Medical Research Council and the proposed research focuses on the investigation of brain signals (via EEG) in a young adult sample who had either an attention deficit hyperactivity disorder (ADHD) or autism spectrum disorders (ASD) diagnosis in childhood. The post holder will be an active member in a department of cognitive neuroscientists, statisticians and clinical investigators, and will be expected to produce independent, original contributions to the understanding of the cortical functions that contribute to the development of these disorders through analysis of EEG data using existing and novel signal processing techniques.They will also provide guidance to less experienced members of the research group, including MSc and PhD students.
Key Requirements
The successful candidate must have a PhD in bioengineering, computational neuroscience, applied maths, statistics, or a subject related to analysis of brain activity. Proven knowledge of EEG, demonstrable knowledge of neuroscience and brain function, experience in the analysis of EEG and experience in MATLAB are essential criteria.

The post will be located at the Denmark Hill campus.The post is funded by the Medical Research Council until 5/05/2020 in the first instance.
Contract Type: This post will be offered on a fixed-term contract for 12 months.
Contract Term: This is a full-time post - 100% full time equivalent
