Professor Narender Ramnani Steps into Presidency at the British Neuroscience Association
29th April 2025
We are looking to appoint a research assistant to work in the Brain and Cognition Laboratory, reporting to Professor Kia Nobre. The post is based at the Oxford Centre for Human Neuroimaging (OHBA) within the Department of Psychiatry at the Warneford Hospital.
The post is for a fixed term (funded to 30 November 2022).
You will take an active role supporting behavioural, MEG/EEG, and MRI studies being carried out as part of the programme of research. Activities will range from recruiting and scheduling participants through to analysing data and presenting results. The varied portfolio of activities will suit individuals with a keen interest in the translational cognitive neuroscience studies of neurodegeneration.
You will have a degree (2:1 or above) in psychology, cognitive neuroscience, or a relevant area of science, along with sufficient specialist knowledge in the discipline to work within the established research programme. You should have excellent organisational skills, high levels of motivation, resourcefulness and self-reliance, and the ability to work with healthy older participants and neurological psychiatric patients as experimental participants. Experience in collecting behavioural, EEG, MRI and MEG data would be desirable.
You will be required to upload a supporting statement, a CV, and details of two referees as part of your online application.
The closing date for this post is 12.00 midday 17th January 2022.
