Professor Narender Ramnani Steps into Presidency at the British Neuroscience Association

The NIHR Maudsley Biomedical Research Centre (BRC), in partnership with the Black and Minority Ethnics in Psychiatry & Psychology Network (BiPP), invites applications from talented individuals from currently under-represented ethnic backgrounds who show the potential to develop a successful career in translational mental health research. Working as a Research Assistant based with a research team at the Institute of Psychiatry, Psychology and Neuroscience (IoPPN), the successful candidate will gain experience and acquire a range of research and transferable skills. Interns will benefit from mentoring, training and support to enable them to progress to the next stage of their career in translational mental health research.
This group are researching new tests, treatments and theories in mental health, neurology, and dementia. Their aim is to accelerate the translation of the latest scientific discoveries into first-in-man clinical trials and other well-designed studies. The findings from these studies can then be developed and implemented to produce new tests and treatments for people with mental and neurological disorders. Their research priorities are focused around novel treatments, precision medicine, translational informatics and mental-physical health.
This post will be offered on a fixed-term contract for 12 months.
