Applications are invited for two Research Assistants to work on a new MRC programme of work focused on understanding novel targets for the treatment resistant depression. This work is led by Professor Catherine Harmer and Professor Philip Cowen. You will be based in the Department of Psychiatry at the Warneford Hospital.

The posts are for a fixed-term of 2 years

You will be responsible for the day-to-day running of experimental medicine studies, including recruitment of participants, study related administration, and data entry. At all times you will be expected to work according to Good Clinical Practice (ICH-GCP) and research governance standards and to ensure compliance with GDPR. The posts would suit someone interested in going on to either clinical psychology training or further research.

You will have a BSc in a relevant discipline (e.g. neuroscience or psychology; minimum 2:1 or above), along with demonstrable research experience, including the ability to manage data sets, and basic analytical skills. You will have excellent organisational and time management skills and a strong interest in cognitive neuroscience and clinical psychology.
