Applications are invited for a Research Fellow posts in the Developmental Change and Plasticity Lab (www.dcp-lab.org) in the Research Department of Clinical, Educational and Health Psychology at UCL.
This post is funded by an ESRC grant awarded to Dr Nikolaus Steinbeis. It offers the opportunity for an outstanding, high-potential, early-career researcher to make a substantial contribution to research into child development and the behavioral and neural development of prosocial behaviour. The post-holder will be responsible for the day-to-day running of a new longitudinal research project using experimental approaches including fMRI. This role will entail development of experimental paradigms for a novel battery of neurocognitive measures, recruitment of a hard-to-reach population as well as children from school settings, testing child participants, data analysis and preparation of results for publication.
The post is funded for 1 year, in the first instance with a possibility of a renewal of two more years.
The ideal candidate will have a PhD in a relevant subject area (e.g. cognitive neuroscience, developmental psychology), a variety of analysis skills, excellent organizational skills, experience of managing large-scale projects, and the ability to work effectively as part of a team. The candidate will possess particularly strong skills in functional imaging analysis and computational modelling.
