Background

The CIRC manages a number of high profile 12 month clinically focused projects at the Royal College of General Practitioners (RCGP). CIRC supports GPs and practice staff through four main programme areas:
• Clinical Priorities
• Innovation
• Quality Improvement
• Research

Project Areas

Each year, we select new projects which complement our existing work to
join our programmes. Previous projects have included:
• Cancer
• End of Life Care
• Person-centred Care
• Quality Improvement in Diabetes
• Research Fellowships
• Good Practice Safeguarding

Who can apply?

All College members, country councils, faculties, committees, boards and groups, affiliated primary care societies, other royal colleges, charities, and patients. Individuals from organisations, whether members of the RCGP or not, are also encouraged to apply.

Applications are particularly welcomed that include quality improvement, innovation, and research elements, as well as having a clear clinical focus. Illustrating patient and carer consultation in planning and delivery, secondary development of training and learning resources for GPs and practice staff is also key.
