Summary of Role:

We are looking for an energetic science writer with a passion for writing and neuroscience to work alongside our science and marketing teams, producing peer-reviewed articles, technical reports and other scientific content.

 

Key Responsibilities:

These include but are not limited to:

  • Collaborating with Cambridge Cognition scientists to produce full-length papers suitable for publication as peer-reviewed articles or in- technical reports
  • Work with internal and external scientists to co-ordinating writing and analysis inputs where needed.
  • Execute statistical analysis and data visualisation using python or R to support the publication process.
  • Manage the submission, review and publication process in a timely manner
  • Maintain a suggested pipeline of priorities for publication and dissemination, taking into account the needs of the Product, Marketing, Commercial and Science teams
  • Contribute to the writing and review of other material including client reports and scientific marketing and sales material

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Postgraduate qualification in a scientific discipline
  • Considerable experience in writing for scientific and/or medical audiences
  • Good publication record, given previous work history
  • Excellent data analysis and interpretation skills
  • Ability to explain scientific principles in a clear and concise manner
  • Exceptional written and spoken English
  • Strong analytical skills and attention to detail
  • Ability to manage own time and work to agreed deadlines with minimal supervision
  • Ability to develop and maintain a good working relationship with internal and external scientists

 

Desirable:

  • PhD in psychology, neuroscience or related subject
  • Knowledge of psychometrics, psychopharmacology, cognitive neuroscience
  • Understanding of drug development and clinical trials methodologies
  • Expertise in data analysis and visualisation using R or Python
