The School of Physiology, Pharmacology, and Neuroscience at the University of Bristol is seeking to appoint to two positions: a Lecturer in Neuroscience (ACAD105108) and a Senior Lecturer in Neuroscience (ACAD105110). For both positions, successful applicants are expected to have a track record of high-quality research in the areas including (but not limited to) biological rhythms and sleep, brain plasticity and cognition, neurobiology of pain, actions of psychoactive drugs, or sensory motor integration.? The successful applicants will join a collegial, supportive department with a vibrant research environment and a passion for excellence in research and teaching.

The School holds a departmental Bronze Athena SWAN Award. We are committed to equal opportunities and to selection on merit and are constantly striving to create and sustain a diverse and inclusive culture. We are also happy to consider flexible working options.

The successful candidates will assume responsibility for an appropriate share of administration and will be expected to interact effectively with other academic colleagues within and across subject areas and with external partners. They will be committed to equality, diversity, and inclusion in the workplace.

Person Criteria

The successful applicants will have a strong, well-developed research profile beyond doctoral level, with an emerging or established record of high-quality publishing commensurate with the applicant’s career stage.?
