Brilliant brains: seeing science through art (BAW)

An exploration of consciousness - exhibitions, workshops and talks exploring science through contemporary art.

12th – 18th March 11am - 4pm: Brilliant Brains exhibition open

Sunday 11th March 4pm – 6pm: Brilliant Brains opening event – meet the artists and hear more about their collaborations with scientists.

Thursday 15th March 6pm - 8pm: Evening viewing - enjoy an evening viewing of the show with a glass of wine and meet the artists.

Saturday 17th March 5pm - 7pm: Talks presented by artists and scientists - learn more about scientific research and contemporary art. Booking details to follow.

Dr Srivas Chennu, Neuroscientist of Cambridge University and Artist Sarah Harley will present their exploration of scientific research and artistic approaches to the theme of consciousness.
Marty Fiati, Associate Teaching Fellow at Anglia Ruskin University and Artist Sally Stenton will talk about their collaboration on the theme of learning and memory.
Thomas Torode, research associate at the Sainsbury Laboratory and Artist Eleanor Havsteen-Franklin will present collaborative work exploring the way plants regulate their growth and development.

Please note: this event will now take place at the CB2 Cafe on Norfolk Street.
