Getting to Know Your Brain A-level and GCSE students (BAW)

How do we think, listen, what makes us move, feel, what is happening in our brain? The University of Leicester, together with the DANA Foundation, will be holiding a free Brain Awareness event "Getting to Know Your Brain".

We invite A-level and GCSE students to join us at the University for the afternoon on Wednesday 14 March 2018,12.30-3.30pm in our Centre for Medicine.

Along with talks there will be live hands-on demonstrations and the opportunity to meet current students and scientists. The afternoon is relevant to anyone with an interest in studying brain research and neuroscience, including biology, cell physiology & pharmacology, genetics, health sciences, medicine and psychology.

There will also poster displays (from Postgraduate Students and Intercalated BSc Students) and the opportunity to speak to current students, researchers and professors. Refreshments will be provided.
