Salary: The starting salary will be from £27,025 (pro rata) up to £34,189 (pro rata) on Grade E, depending on qualifications and experience.

This part-time post (.50 FTE) post is available from 14th January 2019 on a fixed term basis until 20th May 2019 in the College of Life and Environmental Sciences.

A top 100 discipline, Psychology is based at the University’s Streatham Campus. Our academics investigate questions related to social, cognitive, and clinical psychology, as well as animal behaviour. Particular specialisms include social, organisational, and economic/consumer psychology; psychopathology; human cognition and cognitive neuroscience; and neuropsychology. The role

The role of Associate Lecturer (Education and Scholarship) will include supporting the student learning experience using a range of approaches and modes of delivery appropriate to the teaching allocated, specifically convening a Masters-level module in Organisational Psychology comprising around 20 students. This role will consist of delivering 10 three hour classes that will combine lectures with student-based discussions guided by the lecturer. Additional time in the role will involve preparation for the classes, student support and marking of the assessments. There are template materials available for each of the sessions that can be used to support preparation of the classes. 

About you

For a Lecturer post you will:

  • - Possess a depth or breadth of specialist knowledge demonstrated by a PhD (or nearing completion), or equivalent qualification/experience, of the core knowledge relating to Organisational Psychology or a closely related area in order to teach and support learning on a Masters-level module in that area within the Psychology department.
