The British Brain Bee is a non-profit charity that runs outreach neuroscience initiatives in the UK fostering neuroscience education in schools.
For the last five years we have been running an annual school student competition called the British Brain Bee (www.brainbee-uk.com).
We are:
? Creating an interest of school students in neuroscience and research
? Providing an opportunity to school children to meet with neuroscientists
? Raising awareness of the opportunities that a career in STEM can offer
Currently, we are looking for:
• Volunteer tutors to help organise and run a revision session before the Brain Bee competitions in London
• Day volunteers to help run the Brain Bee
• Speakers to talk about their research and/or career
• Judges to correct students exams and judge in the Live Q&A exam
When? The London Brain Bee will take place on Sat, 8th February, 2020 at Southbank International School
The National Brain Bee will take place on Sat, 21st March, 2020 at London Metropolitan University
The South West Brain bee will take place on Sat, 8th February, 2020 at Kingdown School, Warminster
