Cambridge Cognition – who we are

Cambridge Cognition is an innovative neuroscience technology company dedicated to measuring and improving brain health. We are particularly known for CANTABTM, our best-in-class neuropsychological testing system, which is used globally in academic neuroscience research and in drug development.

We also develop a wide range of digital health solutions to address the scientific and practical challenges of improving neural function.  These range from identifying new digital biomarkers of neuropsychiatric disorders, designing real world data capture solutions through to medical devices to assess dementia.

Cambridge Cognition - what we do

Our team of cognitive and clinical scientists advise pharmaceutical and biotech companies on how best to incorporate cognitive testing in global clinical trials as either efficacy, safety or exploratory endpoints. We work across a range of disorders - most commonly depression, Alzheimer’s and Parkinson’s diseases and schizophrenia. We also develop new ways of using digital technologies like smartphones or the Apple Watch to capture cognitive data on patients’ own devices as they go about their daily lives.

The role requirements

We are seeking to recruit an individual with a PhD and/or MSc plus experience in human neuroscience, psychology, cognitive science, psychopharmacology or a related discipline. Successful applicants will enjoy working collaboratively across scientific, product development and global sales teams to develop solutions to commercial and practical challenges.

The role requires an understanding of psychometrics and statistical analysis as well as excellent communication and presentation skills. Any previous experience in industry is a bonus.

The ability to understand and communicate effectively how our leading edge products can best support the increasingly complex development projects of our clients is essential. In addition, confidently conducting exploratory analysis techniques and methods for analysis of cognitive data as well as familiarity with at least once statistical software package (SPSS, R, Python or SAS) is preferable.

The fast-paced nature of our business suits individuals who are comfortable juggling competing demands on their time, seeing projects through to completion with minimal supervision.  The role will be based in our Cambridge UK office but will require the successful candidate to be willing to travel extensively, and often at short notice.

The ideal candidate is likely to be a post-doctoral scientist looking to move to a commercial environment.  However, we are also interested in hearing from more experienced scientists who are attracted to a hands-on role in a close, high calibre team.

Cambridge Cognition offers an excellent benefits package and salary commensurate with experience. Applicants must have the right to work in the UK. The position will remain open until filled.

To apply please send your CV and a covering note explaining your interest to recruitment@camcog.com

Once an offer of employment has been accepted, the successful candidate will be required to undergo a basic disclosure (criminal records check) check and a security check.
