We are looking for someone with a track record of delivering high-impact communications to help us shape and share communications for the Departments of Psychiatry and Clinical Neurosciences during a pivotal time in their history. 

The role of Communications Officer works with colleagues across the Departments, School of Clinical Medicine, Cambridge University Health Partners and the wider University and Colleges to support the communication strategy, planning and delivering internal and external communications that builds our reputation with key UK and international stakeholders and partners. The role may also support departmental managers with communications around reputational risks and if necessary contribute to crisis communications.  

You will be an experienced writer who enjoys crafting stories for a variety of audiences, and you will have a strong sense of what constitutes good communications. You will be skillful at managing senior stakeholders and external partners. You will use insight, knowledge and analysis of our audiences to engage them with our research and teaching mission in the most impactful and effective way. You will work as part of a small team with a high degree of autonomy on communications using expertise to tell inspiring stories to enhance our global reputation, build relationships, engage our staff and prove our impact.
