We would like to invite applications for a research associate post to help lead and co-ordinate the Preschool Imaging Project (PIP). PIP is the first European longitudinal, multi-centre, multidisciplinary study that follows pre-schoolers with autism spectrum disorder or typical development from 3-6 years. The project aims to investigate 1) the relationship between individual variability in brain development and social, cognitive and emotional development, and 2) identify prognostic biomarkers for autism spectrum disorder. PIP is part of the IMI AIMS-2-TRIALS consortium; the largest project focused on autism in the world.

The successful candidate will be the first point of contact in problem solving, contribute to design aspects of the study, and be responsible for standardised assessments of our multi-modal protocol across European sites. This includes comprehensive clinical characterisation, neurocognitive profile (including novel iPAD and eye-tracking tasks), brain imaging (MRI, DTI, resting-state fMRI and EEG), bio-chemical markers, environmental risk factors, and genomics. The post-holder will work with a multi-disciplinary team directed by Dr Eva Loth to ensure that milestones and deliverables are on time and will lead on one particular scientific aspect depending on interest/ expertise. This multifaceted role requires a PhD in a field related to autism and cognitive neuroscience

The selection process will include a panel interview.
