Job Details
We are seeking two highly motivated Postdoctoral Research Associates to work on an international collaborative project that is developing novel frameworks for humans and AI agents to work as effective, collaborative teammates. The project brings together cutting-edge research from cognitive neuroscience, brain-computer interfaces, neural engineering and machine learning.
The post holders will join Prof Nick Yeung’s Attention and Cognitive Control lab. The work on this project focuses on the role of metacognition in effective group decision making, including multivariate decoding of EEG activity. The team also work with partners including the Brain-Computer Interfaces and Neural Engineering Laboratory at the University of Essex and the Neural Systems Engineering & Information Processing Lab at the University of Southern California.
Person Criteria
The successful candidates will hold a PhD/DPhil (or soon-to-be completed) or equivalent qualification in psychology or a relevant subject. Expertise in relevant research, e.g., in human cognitive neuroscience, decision making, human-machine teaming, online data collection, and/or EEG data collection and analysis is also essential. You will have a strong publication and dissemination record along with excellent statistical, coding and data-handling skills, with experience of programming for experimental design and data analysis. Your strong communication and organisation skills will enable you to work collaboratively.
