This 2-year post-doctoral position in the laboratory of Professor Juan Burrone is funded by the Wellcome Trust and will investigate the process of synapse formation and plasticity in the cortex.
The Centre for Developmental Neurobiology and MRC Centre for Neurodevelopmental Disorders are world-leading centres in the field of developmental neuroscience and brain disorders, situated in central London.
We are seeking a bright, talented and self-motivated post-doctoral researcher to join our team. Candidates should have, or be about to obtain, a PhD in Neuroscience and have a background in hippocampal or neocortical physiology. Experience in fluorescence imaging in vivo is essential, along with experience in animal experimentation and surgery with rodents. Experience in whole cell patch-clamping ex vivo is desirable.
This post will be offered on a fixed-term contract for 2 years.
This is a full-time post.
The selection process will include a panel interview and presentation.
Grade and Salary: Grade 6 position, basic annual salary £38,304 to £45,026 inclusive of £3,500 London Allowance per annum
