An exciting opportunity has become available for a Postgraduate Research Assistant to carry out research in the area of brain plasticity in collaboration with the UCL Plasticity lab.

Your responsibilities will include recruiting participants, running experiments in the Plasticity lab at UCL, analysing data as part of a research team and supporting everyday research activities and day-to-day running of the lab.

To be considered for this role, you will need to possess an excellent undergraduate and master’s degree in a relevant discipline, for example, a first class degree in neurosciences, psychology or engineering. Experience of designing research projects, running studies and analysing data with particular focus on participant recruitment will be beneficial, as well as theoretical and practical knowledge of functional MRI. You will be required to have experience using Matlab or similar computer software, such as Python. Experience of advanced neuroimaging analysis and conceptualising and designing experimental tasks will prove beneficial.

It will be essential for you to possess excellent interpersonal skills for interacting with patients and other members of the group. You will need to prove that you have the ability to manage the day-to-day running of a research project alongside lab duties. This will require you to multi-task effectively, pay attention to detail and display excellent time management and organisational skills.

The post is full-time for 1 year.
