We are seeking a highly-motivated Research Assistant to join our team carrying out experimental work in neuroscience and cell biology, at the Wellcome Centre for Human Genetics.

You will be responsible for general laboratory management and administration, including stock control of laboratory consumables. You will manage your own research and administrative activities, follow and adapt experimental protocols within guidelines provided by senior colleagues. You will also carry out routine tasks accurately and following methodologies with high precision; identify suitable alternatives if technical problems arise.

It is essential that you hold a degree together with relevant laboratory experience. You will have sufficient specialist knowledge in the discipline to work within established research programmes, and have practical experience in cell culture and stock upkeep. It is essential that you have excellent communication skills, and have evident of ability to work and communicate in a multi-disciplinary team.
