The Department of Psychology currently has an opening for a full-time research assistant

PostDoc position
(salary scale 13 TV-L, 100 %)

The position is limited to three years. In principle, this position can be divided into two half-time positions. 

The laboratory for clinical neuropsychology, led by Dr. Jens Pruessner, is searching for a researcher at the PhD level to support ongoing or starting projects in psychoneuroendocrinology and magnetic resonance imaging (MRI). The successful candidate should either have prior experience with hormone assessment from saliva and blood, know how to perform analyses using appropriate immunoassay technology, and be able to interpret results in line with current theories and models, ideally documented through publications in respective journals.

Alternatively, the candidate should have a neuroimaging background, prior experience with assessment of structural or functional neuroimaging data, and should be capable of analysis of structural and functional neuroimaging data using pertinent packages and solutions (e.g., SPM, Matlab, minc), ideally documented through publications in appropriate journals. 

Prerequisite is a doctoral degree in Psychology or Neuroscience.

The position offers stimulating work in a youthful team, the possibillity to further the academic qualification and career (‘habilitation’), and considerable freedom in initiating and executing personal research projects. The successful candidate is further expected to contribute to the teaching curriculum (4 hours / week), and to participate in fundraising efforts of the team.
