An exciting opportunity has arisen to join the Department of Clinical and Motor Neurosciences as a Research Associate UCL Institute of Neurology, under the supervision of Dr Diego Kaski.

The laboratory focuses on neural processes that control human movement and spatial orientation, and disorders of these functions resulting from damage to the central and peripheral nervous system.

The appointee will be part of the Whole-body Sensorimotor Control Laboratory and will be responsible for undertaking a range of experimental investigations into the effects of mitochondrial and neurodegenerative disease upon gait, and balance and sensorimotor function.

This is a fixed term, full-time position requiring experience of conducting behavioural research and clinical experience in neurological diseases. Desirable attributes are experience of using 3D motion capture, gait analysis, and working with patients.  

This study will run for 1 year and the post will be available from the 1st November 2019.

Essential: BSc or equivalent qualification in Physiology, Sport Science, Neuroscience or related discipline.

Desirable: PhD in Physiology, Neuroscience or related discipline
