We are looking for an enthusiastic Research Fellow in Human Cognitive Neuroscience to contribute to a project led by Dr. Alexa Morcom. The project aims to understand how memory for events is controlled. It will use electroencephalography (EEG) with advanced multivariate data analysis methods as well as standard techniques for event-related potentials (ERPs). This project has been funded by the Bial Foundation (https://www.bial.com/en). The post-holder will join Dr. Morcom’s new lab at Sussex in the School of Psychology (profile at http://www.sussex.ac.uk/profiles/467285/research).

The Research Fellow should have a PhD in Psychology, Neuroscience, Informatics or another cognate discipline. Excellent programming skills are essential (MATLAB and/or R preferred), and experience doing brain imaging data analysis or using equivalent advanced quantitative research methods. Expertise in conducting experimental psychological experiments with human volunteers is desirable.

The Research Fellow will primarily run EEG experiments, analyse EEG and behavioural data, and disseminate the results together with Dr Morcom. There will be opportunity to travel to present the data at an international academic meeting.
