The post will be based in the Developmental Neurosciences Programme. The post holder will be involved in the development of therapeutic approaches for neuromuscular diseases. The aim is to optimize different strategies in cellular and mouse models, facilitate and assist with research activities in accordance with the goals of Julie Dumonceaux’ team and the Developmental Neurosciences Programme. 

The post holder will assist senior colleagues to ensure that research projects are completed on time and within budget, contribute to teaching and associated tasks within the area of molecular and cell biology, be responsible for practical work where applicable, and advise students on techniques, assist with the planning for the use of research resources, laboratories and workshops as appropriate and manage own research, teaching and administrative demands under general supervision of Dr Dumonceaux and Dr Mariot.

This post is funded for 18 Months, in the first instance.

Applicants must have a PhD or equivalent in a relevant subject. The successful applicant will have knowledge of research techniques in this area and enthusiasm for science. Proven experience of and commitment to undertaking high quality original research, leading to publication in peer-reviewed journals is required. Molecular biology, and animal facility experience is mandatory.
