The appointment will be on UCL Grade 7. The salary range will be £35,328 - £42,701 per annum, inclusive of London Allowance.
Two post-doctoral research fellowships are available in the Molecular Nociception Group. These positions are funded by The Wellcome Trust and focus on the role of sensory neurons in pain pathways, in particular transduction pathways for distinct pain sensations.
The main purpose of the role is to initiate, develop, design and be responsible for the delivery of high quality research in field of Pain signalling within the current programme in the Centre.
The posts are available for 2 years in the first instance.
Key requirements are a PhD and previous experience with at least one of the following; cell and molecular neuroscience, transgenic mouse production maintenance and analysis, and/or electrophysiological and imaging studies.
Applicants should have at least one of the following; basic skills in cell and molecular biology, transgenic studies, genetics, behavioural and electrophysiological assays.
