Applications are invited for the position of Senior Accounts Clerk at the Department of Clinical Neurosciences central administrative team. 

The Department of Clinical Neurosciences is part of the School of Clinical Medicine. It was created in January 2004 and amalgamates five separate divisions: Neurology, Neurosurgery, Stem Cell Neurobiology, the Wolfson Brain Imaging Centre and the Cambridge Centre for Brain Repair, together with Clinical Services.

The successful candidate will undertake a full range of accounts administrative duties within the Department, and will assist the Finance Officer with financial related activity in the department, and adhere to the University's financial regulations and practices including that relating to the WBIC which is a major research facility (MRF).

The role holder will have an AAT Intermediate qualification or equivalent, or working towards one, and GCSE English and Maths at Grade C or above. The post holder will be highly competent in MS Office software packages e.g. Word, Excel and knowledge of the CUFS system would be desirable.

Ability to communicate effectively with different types of business contact, by e-mail, phone and in person, with ability to demonstrate flexible approaches to work. Considerable experience of completing deadlines in a busy accounts-based environment is essential and previous experience of using the University Financial System, especially iProcurement, or a similar financial system, would be beneficial.
