Drawing upon her cutting-edge research, award-winning neuroscientist, Sarah-Jayne Blakemore will explain what happens inside the adolescent brain, and what her team’s experiments have revealed about our behaviour, and how we relate to each other and our environment. Our adolescence provides a lens through which we can see ourselves anew. It is fundamental to how we invent ourselves.

This event takes place Monday 4th June, 7.00pm – 8.30pm at The Royal Institution, London. 

About the speaker
Sarah-Jayne Blakemore
 is Professor of Cognitive Neuroscience at UCL. She is Deputy Director of the UCL Institute of Cognitive Neuroscience and leader of the Developmental Cognitive Neuroscience Group. Her group's research focuses on the development of social cognition and decision making in the adolescent brain.

Timing
The doors will open at approximately 6.30pm, with a prompt start at 7.00pm. There will be time for questions after the talk.
Latecomers will be admitted into the gallery.
