FENS, in collaboration with the Dana Foundation and EDAB, is happy to announce that the calls for nominations for the Neuroscience Outreach Awards 2018 will be opening after Brain Awareness Week.
In order to celebrate neuroscience outreach, Dana/EDAB, in collaboration with FENS, reward public outreach projects and special contributions by individuals and organisations every second year at the FENS Forum (Berlin, 7-11 July 2018).
During the Neuroscience Outreach Awards Ceremony, those two prestigious prizes linked to global outreach will be bestowed on the neuroscience community:
- The Dana/EDAB Neuroscience Outreach Champion (also known as The David and Hillie Mahoney Award for an Individual's Contribution to Outreach): rewarding an individual who has significantly contributed to the promotion of brain awareness, through continued public outreach efforts for a period of three or more years.
- The EDAB/FENS Brain Awareness Week (BAW) Excellence Award: recognising the outstanding presentation of a BAW public outreach programme in the past two years by an organisation such as a hospital, university, national society or NGO.
Both calls for nominations will open on 26 March 2018 on the FENS website.
The deadline for submissions is 1 May 2018.
