In advance of these elections, the FENS Secretary-General has launched a call for nominations, which is open from 4th May - 1st June 2022.

The open positions are:

  • President-elect
  • Secretary General-elect
  • Treasurer-elect
  • Chairperson of Committee on Higher Education and Training (CHET)
  • Committee on Higher Education and Training (CHET) ordinary member
  • Communications Committee ordinary member

As a member society of FENS, the BNA can make nominations for these positions. The number of these nominations is limited, and so the BNA will internally process and shortlist referrals prior to FENS' own deadline.

These nominations will be processed, and then submitted to FENS by the BNA on Friday 1st June 2022.

To actively support the development and advancement goals of IBRO, proposals of candidates who reflect IBRO’s commitment to Diversity, Equity and Inclusion, are encouraged.

Once nominations have been submitted to FENS, the FENS Elections Secretariat will send a request to candidates informing them of their successful nomination and requesting that they submit their candidature for the elections. Shortlisted candidates for the positions of President-elect, Secretary General-elect and Treasurer-elect will also be invited for a brief interview during the Governing Council meeting on 8th July 2022.
