22nd November 2024
30th Nov 2017
Oxford University Press and the Royal Society of Biology have partnered to launch a new initiative, the Oxford Biology Primers. These primers are intended to introduce undergraduate students to a range of foundational and frontier topics in a way that gives a contemporary view of the biosciences as a dynamic and experimental science and entices readers to study further – all in a highly flexible, modular format. A number of titles are being commissioned at the moment including two on different aspects of neuroscience targeted at higher level undergraduates. Proposed areas are Neuropharmacology and Neurological Disorders. Each publication is expected to be around 60,000 words in length. If you are interested in this opportunity to author a text (individually or with a colleague) in either of these two areas please contact Dr Aysha Divan (a.divan@leeds.ac.uk) for further information.
