BNA members receive international recognition with SfN awards
8th October 2024
"The BNA has been a huge support to me throughout my PhD."
"Support from BNA travel grants has enabled me to attend and present my research at both local and international conferences. Attending events such as the BNA Festival of Neuroscience has greatly expanded my network across the UK and worldwide, and has allowed me to present my PhD work to world-leading academics. And, now that I am finishing my PhD, the curated list of jobs on the BNA's website has been extremely useful in guiding me towards neuroscience research opportunities."

Postgraduate membership is open to current postgraduate students undertaking a Masters programme or PhD comprising neuroscience-related content (this can include students on courses other than pure neursocience, e.g. those that have modular choices), F1 and F2 junior doctors, and Assistant/Trainee Clinical Psychologists.
Proof of current student/trainee status, valid for up to four years, will be required in order to prove eligibility. This can be a photo, pdf or other document of, for example, your student ID card, proof of enrollment, or a headed letter from your institution. You will be asked to upload this during the online application procedure.
Postgraduate members may be able to benefit from the Research Group Membership Scheme, which allows Full Members to give up to nine members of their research team reduced-fee subscriptions with the BNA, giving them extended access to bursaries, reduced meeting fees, membership of FENS, and more. Ask your group leader if they are a member of the BNA, and whether you can get your membership for a reduced fee!
