Credibility in Neuroscience
BNA Credibility Prize
I'm honoured to receive the BNA Credibility Prize in recognition of my work in sharing epilepsy research methods and developing tools to advance the field. A collaborative effort to make neuroscience more transparent and reliable.

The BNA Credibility Prize recognizes exceptional efforts to enhance the robustness, reliability, replicability, and reproducibility of neuroscience research. This award is part of the British Neuroscience Association’s (BNA) ongoing initiative to build a credible and sustainable future for 21st-century neuroscience.
Purpose
The prizes celebrate individuals or teams who:
- Conduct research that improves credibility.
- Develop tools or engage in practices promoting trustworthy science.
- Mentor or teach methods that strengthen research culture in neuroscience.
Prize Categories
- Student Researcher Prize – For current or recently graduated undergraduates and postgraduates (within 12 months of 1 March 2025).
- Individual Researcher Prize – For post-degree researchers.
- Team Prize – For UK-based research teams (one team lead must be designated).
Eligibility & Nomination
- Open to BNA members (who can also self-nominate with a letter of recommendation).
- Work must be in neuroscience and current or ongoing.
- Nominees need not be BNA members, but cannot be part of the BNA Council, Committees, or Credibility Advisory Board.
Award
- Recognition and invitation to present at a future BNA event.
- Feature in the BNA’s journal, Brain and Neuroscience Advances.
- Student Prize includes a £500 cash award.
