Our Organisational Members

Alzheimer’s Research UK is the UK’s leading dementia research charity.  They are dedicated to treating, diagnosing and preventing Alzheimer’s disease and other forms of dementia through world-class scientific research. Founded in 1992, the organisation funds research across universities, hospitals, and research institutes throughout the UK, supporting work that ranges from fundamental neuroscience to clinical trials and population studies.

The charity's mission is to accelerate progress towards a cure. Alzheimer’s Research UK invests in understanding the biological causes of dementia, improving early and accurate diagnosis, and developing new therapeutic approaches aimed at slowing, stopping, or preventing disease progression.

Alongside its research funding, the organisation plays a major role in public engagement and policy advocacy, raising awareness of dementia, promoting brain health, and campaigning for increased national investment in research. It also supports the development of future research leaders through fellowships, training programmes, and collaborative initiatives across academia, healthcare, and industry.

PSPA is the only UK charity dedicated to creating a better future for everyone affected by Progressive Supranuclear Palsy and Corticobasal Degeneration.

We will do this by:

  • Providing information and support to enable families living with PSP & CBD to live their best possible lives
  • Improving the quality of life for people living with the condition via research and awareness raising
  • Putting the voice of the PSP & CBD community at the heart of what we do.

Alzheimer’s disease is the leading cause of dementia - yet in the UK, 1 in 3 people are living without a diagnosis.

At Roche Diagnostics, we’re working to change that. With nearly two decades of expertise, we’re helping bring Alzheimer’s testing out of specialist settings and into the routine laboratory - making earlier, more accessible diagnosis a reality.

Our Elecsys® portfolio spans both CSF and blood-based biomarkers, including pTau181 and ApoE4, supporting earlier triage, more accurate diagnosis, and better-informed treatment decisions across care settings.

Delivered through our global network of cobas® integrated solutions, these tests are designed to be scalable, cost-effective, and widely accessible.
