Our 2025 Outstanding Contribution to Neuroscience winner, Professor Sarah Tabrizi, reflects on the importance of recognition and awards within the neuroscience community. She discusses how awards help raise awareness of neurological and neurodegenerative diseases, and shares what the recognition means to her personally.

Professor Tabrizi highlights the vital contribution of patients and families involved in research over many years, dedicating the award to those who have participated in studies and clinical trials to advance understanding and treatment of brain diseases.
